How To Care For Your YFarmani Jewelry
While every piece is made with great care to ensure the best quality and craftsmanship, they are pieces of art and need to be taken care of.
A little love and mindfulness will go a long way… :)
Here are some things to keep in mind with your jewelry:
It is important that you don't sleep with your jewelry on, specially necklaces and chains. The best practice is to have it be the last thing you put on, and the first thing you take off.
Silver Jewelry:
Many of YFarmani silver pieces are oxidized to create a dark contrast and bring out the details of the piece. Something to keep in mind is that silver jewelry will naturally tarnish (turn black) over time, specially when not worn.
To preserve the finish of your pieces here are some steps to take:
- Keep your jewelry in an airtight container like a small ziplock bag when not worn
- Keep it clean by washing it with a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water and a very small amount of mild soap. (Be careful that your toothbrush is very soft so it does not scratch any pearls or stones.)
- Do not use a polishing cloth for the satin/matte finish pieces. We are happy to refinish your jewelry for you up to a year after purchase (the only cost you will be responsible for is shipping)
Caring for your Gems:
- Avoid harsh chemicals and cleaners, which can damage both the metal and gemstones.
- Clean gently with mild soap and lukewarm water using a soft brush or cloth.
- Store your jewelry separately to prevent scratches and damage to both metal and gemstones.
- Avoid exposing your jewelry to extreme temperatures and prolonged sunlight, as this can cause damage to both metal and gemstones.
Gold Jewelry:
- Keep it clean by washing it with a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water and a very small amount of mild soap. (Be careful that your toothbrush is very soft so it does not scratch any pearls or stones.)
- Do not use a polishing cloth for the satin/matte finish pieces. We are happy to refinish your jewelry for you up to a year after purchase (the only cost you will be responsible for is shipping)
